Allen Russell

Allen Russell Is a classically trained violinist and composer based in Milwaukee WI. He studied under David Becker, Elaine Skorodin, Jerry Franke and at UW Milwaukee with Bernard Zinck. He leads his gypsy swing ensemble Swing Chevron who has performed at such events as the Midwest Gypsy Swingfest and Jean's Jazz Series. Allen also co- founded the Tontine Ensemble and releases original electronic music as GLOOSTIKK. As a composer, he has had collaborated numerous times with Milwaukee Danceworks, Timothy Westbrook and the Milwaukee Natural History Museum. Allen is also a registered Suzuki instructor and teaches privately as well as at The Academy of Performing Arts in Franklin.
